Haiku Poetry !

                                                                            Kick Start

                                  Step it up !
This activity was easy for me because back in the years I was
really good at Poetry and this was a good review since I haven't
done poetry in a long time, there wasn't really anything challenging
I just think this activity was fun. I had a good time completing
this activity and can't wait for more !, Bloggers let me know your thoughts?
Don't forget to leave a comment! Thank you

Ka pai on your excellent mahi on this post! You are clearly a very talented poet. This post is of such a high quality that I am going to award you bonus points towards your Summer Learning Journey tally. I really like that each of the poems you read on your Screencasitfy recording were accompanied by a matching graphic. I also liked how you included some really interesting words in your haikus. This made this blog post extra interesting and engaging to me.

What was your process and inspiration when writing these poems? Do you have any tips for other bloggers who might be less experienced at haiku writing than you?

I also appreciate that you have completed both the “Kick Start” and “Step It Up” elements of this activity by recording yourself reading your haikus on Screencastify - this means you will earn extra points towards your Summer Learning Journey tally.

Ngā mihi nui and keep up the excellent mahi - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer.

  3. Greetings Deborah,

My name is Sakshi and I am a year 8 student in Panmure Bridge School. I saw this blog post while scrolling through your blog. It is amazing! Me and my friends often visit your blog as you complete all the activities and have been an active blogger. I have also completed this activity and have posted this on my blog as well!

The poem is so good! The thing I liked the most is that you have used such new vocabulary as it easily expresses what you want to say. I loved doing this activity because I got a chance to tell my readers what I wanted to say just by using key words and not actual sentences. What did you enjoy doing in this task? I also liked how you have asked a question in your blurb about our opinions. I am really excited for the coming activities as well! Can you tell me some facts about Haiku poem?

    Keep up the fabulous work!
    -Sakshi
