Cybersmart- kawa care activities

Today room 6 and I had to complete 3 cybersmart activities from manaiakalani, this activities are suppose to teach us how to take care of our devices and always be organized when your at school. These activities were really interesting and fun to complete. Kawa care taught me how to be organized when your at school or before your at school, how to take care of your devices and how to stay cybersmart within your social media/chromebook.

A1. Kawa care chromebook #1

For this activity we had to put the words that were on the side into these sentences so we had to see which of these words fit in with these sentences that were provided. One thing I learnt while completing this activity was the rules that you must follow while using your chromebook because if you don't follow the rules, your chromebook may easily be damaged.

A2. Kawa of care chromebook #2

For this second activity we had to do the same thing like activity 1 but we had to read the sentence and see which words matched these sentences with their topic above. One thing I learnt while completing this activity was that you have to carry your chromebook with care and with responsibility.

A3. Kawa of care chromebook #3

For our last activity, it was different because all we had to do was insert a sensible picture of ourselves and read the following agreements around. While reading these I have definitely committed to doing this and will take care of my device responsibly.

PAT test scores

 

This is my PAT test scores for term 1, as you can see it says PAT tests so my subjects and BOY (beginning of year) and EOY (end of year) this basically means we do PAT term 1 and term 4, we do this because the teachers included us students want to know how good we've improved and if there has been any gaps we will need to fix so this is why we only do PAT in term 1 and term 4. This PAT is different from e asttle because e asttle we do every term and also because you can't see your score while your doing the test you can only see your score at the end of the tests. PAT goes from stainne 1 to stainne 9 and as you can see by my results my tests scores were 5, 5, 5, 4 and this will help me to do better and help encourage me to work hard to get a better score, this test score isn't as bad because I'm just on the level but I definitely need to work harder to get a much better score.

Reading e asttle results

 

This is my reading e asttle results, my current curriculum level is 4B and went up to 4P I have improved within my reading and will continue to do the same with all my reading tests. This test was alright and not quite tricky although some of our vocabulary were, but this means that I will learn and study hard to understand and know the meaning of words as well as understand the question that they are asking about the book.

Award winning car prize !

A fun ride in an Ford mustang/ flying horse !

Yesterday, Papiloti and I (another fellow senior from room 7) was chosen to get a free ride home in an awesome car !, before we had left we had to figure out who's at the front for the first half and who's at the back for the second half. I wanted to be in the front for the first half so I could see the amazing view and structure of the car but then obviously after that we had swapped our positions in the car. Mr Steve the kind gentlemen was very nice and thoughtful to let the 2 selected students ride in his new car, it was such a pleasure because there was only 2 Ford Mustangs in the whole of New Zealand and he had only got for 3 weeks now.

After an amazing ride through Mission Bay to St Heliers, watching ocean and people enjoying themselves, naming stores, asking questions about what we do for a living and having a good laughter together.  While we were in the car we had to stop somewhere to switch spots with Papiloti so we stopped by a memorial on the top of Mission Bay which was the first Labour Prime Minister Michael Savage, we walked around and had a great tour while learning some new and interesting facts. This was an excited trip because I had just moved to Auckland New Zealand about 3 years ago and never knew the first Labour Prime Minister whom was born in Australia on 23 March 1872, and became the first Labour Prime Minister in 6 December 1935 and sadly passed away in 27 March 1940. He is the 23rd Prime Minister of New Zealand but is the first ever Labour Prime Minister.

After a long trip of visiting Michael Savages memorial my friend Papiloti and I had switched seats which meant she was at the front while I was at the back. Our car ride back and to Michael Savage's memorial was very fun and exciting. 

My most favourite part I liked about the car was when Mr Steve was driving fast and when we could hear the car when it starts up!

My least favourite part was when we had to go back home after an awesome ride!

It was an amazing experience in a Ford Mustang and wish all the other students the best for next year so they can experience something like Papiloti and I did. I had an awesome time in that car especially when he drove fast and then slowed down. I can't wait for another opportunity like this and will always remember this day which was the best day of my life!, I'm definitely into cars now even though I am a girl but I definitely enjoy being in cars, looking at cars and knowing the different types of cars.

Maths e asttle results

 

This is my maths result for 2021, this was a tricky test but I came through and gave it my all:)                        My current curriculum is 4A but I went down by 2, this result is just at my year level but this is only the first term so I will definitely try my hardest for my tests next term and the following terms. Some things I found tricky about my test was the questions they were asking and especially my time, I was running out but I luckily made it, so by this it will help encourage me to study hard about similar math problems to try and reach my goal.
