First week back at Technology !

Kia ora Bloggers,

Today room 6 and 7 went on their first technology together, it was great.  Before we got there Mrs Tuakoi (Room 7 teacher) assigned us to our tech groups, I'm in group D with Mr Krishna - Robotics. As you all know by my recent technology blog post I had robotics but didn't get the chance to do cooking because of our pandemic that recently happened.

My group and I, played some coding games and had to complete on paper an who am I sheet, this tasks was mainly for our teacher Mr Krishna just so he can get to know us better. Before we got the sheet he introduced himself for example, name, how long he worked at tamaki for, and his favourite things. This was an awesome experience although I've already seen and met him last year it was a good seeing him this year and looking forward to amazing things I will be learning this term.

Don't forget to keep up with my blogs so you know what I and my group do in technology.                    Don't forget to leave a kind and thoughtful comment below :)

My Pepeha

This is my Pepeha for 2021. I've learnt so many things about myself  while writing and memorising my pepeha. A pepeha explains things about yourself for you and others to know such as your waka-boat, your river, mountain, marae and more at first I thought it was boring until I gave it a go.

Tennis Lessons

Today on the 10th of February 2021, room 6 and 7 had tennis, we have tennis every wednesday for 8 weeks.

This week's experience was so much fun and very moving especially because Rubin Statham and Ajeet Rai which, if you did not know is New Zealand's top tennis players were very helpful and fun practicing with, I am truly grateful for having Rubin and Ajeet with us and taking their time off to come and work with us and help improve our tennis skills, not only that but our wonderful teacher Campbell, he helped us learn different skills and techniques throughout our session with him and not only him but his two very helpful helpers, I had lots of fun with them as well as the others today.

Today was my birthday so I had lots of fun laughing and playing with Ajeet as well as my classmates, I would always hit the ball to the window and everyone would be laughing because that's not where you're supposed to hit the ball and so because of that I got out and next person went in but besides me getting out and hitting the tennis ball in wrong directions I had heaps of fun with our first week of tennis, If I had this much fun today I think i'll have fun every week completing this activity, to be honest I didn’t really know that they were new zealands top tennis players until Campbell told us I was like “WOW!, we are so lucky to have them over and help us improve our tennis skills. Campbell also told us that they will only be coming fortnight which isn’t sad but I am still happy that we will still get to see them.

Tennis is an awesome experience and really fun!, a memorie for me to keep or my highlight of the first week of tennis was when, we all got Ajeet out because everyone was feeling excited and happy that they got him out because of how he was a top tennis player, but I know he was going easy because he was going hard we would all be out. Everyone had a great time or at least I know my team definitely had a good time completing these activities Campbell and the rest created for us to enjoy.

Thank you Campbell, Ajeet, Rubin and the rest for coming to Glen Innes School and helping us improve our skills in tennis not only that but know the best and fun parts about tennis.
